Terms of Service

1. Services

We provide residential and commercial cleaning, including regular cleaning, deep cleaning, move-in/move-out cleaning and office cleaning, in Smithfield and surrounding Johnston County, North Carolina communities. The exact tasks included are those described on this website or agreed in writing for your job. Anything not listed is not included.

We do not provide, and nothing on this site should be read as offering: mold or biohazard remediation, crime-scene or hoarding cleanup, pest control, sewage cleanup, asbestos or lead work, carpet water extraction, chimney or duct cleaning, roof or exterior pressure washing, pet-waste removal beyond ordinary tidying, moving of heavy furniture or appliances, ladder work above two steps, childcare or pet care. Trash haul-away is not included.

2. Quotes and pricing

Prices shown on this website are starting estimates only, based on bedroom and bathroom count. The final price depends on the size, condition and contents of the space, travel distance and the level of detail required, and is confirmed before work begins. Estimates are not binding until confirmed in writing (text or email counts).

3. Booking, deposits and cancellations

• A deposit may be required to reserve a date. Deposits are applied to your final bill.
• Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before the appointment for a full deposit credit toward a future cleaning.
• Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, lock-outs, or no access at the scheduled time may forfeit the deposit to cover reserved time and travel.
• We may reschedule for weather, illness, unsafe conditions or emergencies. If we cancel, your deposit is refunded or credited at your choice.
• Recurring plans may be paused or cancelled by you at any time, effective at the end of the current paid period, through your account page or by contacting us.

4. Payment

Payment is due on completion unless otherwise agreed. We accept cash, check and accepted electronic payments; card and online payments are processed by a third-party payment processor and we never store your full card details. Returned checks and failed payments may incur a fee up to the amount allowed by North Carolina law. Balances unpaid after 30 days may be subject to a late charge and reasonable collection costs as permitted by law.

5. Access, safety and the condition of your space

• You are responsible for providing safe, lawful access, working utilities (electricity and running hot water) and a reasonably safe work environment.
• Please secure cash, jewelry, firearms, medication, collectibles, irreplaceable items and confidential documents before the visit.
• Pets must be secured. We may decline or stop a job if animals, people or conditions present a risk to our safety.
• We may decline or stop work in unsanitary or hazardous conditions, including bodily fluids, human or animal waste, drug residue, infestation, mold, or extreme clutter. Reserved time may still be billed.
• We may use standard household cleaning products. Tell us in advance of allergies, sensitivities, natural-stone, unsealed wood, antique or specialty surfaces, or products we should not use.

6. Satisfaction and damage claims

If you are not satisfied, tell us within 24 hours of the cleaning and we will return to re-clean the areas in question at no charge. Re-cleaning is our primary remedy and refunds, when given, are at our discretion and limited to the amount paid for that visit.

Report any suspected damage in writing within 48 hours of the visit, with photos, so we can inspect it. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, normal wear, items that were already loose, unstable, broken or improperly installed, or damage caused by defects in the item or surface itself.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by North Carolina law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to our services or this website is limited to the amount you paid for the specific cleaning visit giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or loss of use. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Non-solicitation of staff

Our cleaners and independent contractors are engaged at our cost. For 12 months after your last cleaning, please do not directly hire or engage a person introduced to you through our business for cleaning work outside of this business without our written agreement.

9. Website accounts, content and acceptable use

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit and for keeping your account password secure. Do not use this website to submit unlawful, false, abusive or infringing content, to attempt unauthorized access, or to scrape or disrupt the service. All text, images, logos and design on this site belong to Just Me Commercial & Residential Cleaning or its licensors and may not be copied without permission. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms.

10. Promotions and gift cards

Promotional offers apply only as described, cannot be combined unless stated, and may be changed or ended at any time before booking. Gift cards are for services only, are not redeemable for cash except where required by North Carolina law, and are not replaceable if lost. Gift cards sold by this business do not expire under North Carolina law except as that law allows.

11. Communications consent

By giving us your phone number or email you agree that we may contact you about your quote, booking and account by phone, text and email. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts or use the unsubscribe link in marketing email; we will still send messages needed to service an active booking.

12. Independent contractors

Some work may be performed by independent contractors engaged by this business. They are responsible for their own taxes and reporting, and they are required to follow these terms and our privacy commitments.

13. Force majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, hurricanes, flooding, power or water outages, illness, accidents, road closures or government orders.

14. Dispute resolution and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us first and give us 30 days to resolve the issue in good faith. Any dispute that cannot be resolved will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Johnston County, North Carolina, and both sides consent to that venue. Either side may bring a qualifying claim in North Carolina small claims court. Claims must be brought individually and not as part of a class action, to the extent permitted by law.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version posted on this page at the time you book applies to that booking. Continued use of this website or our services after an update means you accept the updated terms.

16. Severability and entire agreement

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms, plus any written quote or booking confirmation, are the entire agreement between us.
